As we continue to expand our E-commerce strategy, Essity has a new role within our growing Ecommerce team as an E-commerce Activation Manager, working in our Health & Medical Solutions business unit. About the role

Essity is growing its ecommerce offering across our vast customer base, and this role will play a key part in ensuring shopper content is consistent and fits to local retailer's needs. You will develop, implement and evaluate promotions and category management activities for the E-Commerce channel. You will work closely with the Brand Manager, Product Managers and the eCommerce Manager to grow our presence and make the ordering process easy to use and more efficient.

This is a remote role, so your location can be flexible within The UK, however travel to meetings at our office locations (Bedfordshire and North Yorkshire) will be required as per business needs.

What you will do


  • Ensure e-retailer specific local shopper content requirements are defined and content is provided respectively, either based on product content provided by consumer marketing or directly adapted or created.

  • Facilitate transfer to e-retailer, in close cooperation with the eCommerce Manager

  • Develop online promotions and activities based on national and offline promotions and activities to meet E-Commerce needs

  • Develop e-commerce activities to support brand campaigns, work on (and evaluate) product selection from the global assortment to create communications towards the shopper

  • Execute range and distribution strategy and identify gaps in liaison with Category Management Team on a regular basis

  • Ensure with internal stakeholders and brand agencies that E-Commerce activities are aligned with the digital marketing plans

  • Monitor and follow-up shopper and customer online activities

Who you are


  • Ecommerce activation and e-merchandising experience

  • Strong social media skills

  • Have an understanding of the UX & digital consumer journey

  • Previous experience with platforms including Amazon and or Google would be advantageous

  • Have a "can-do" attitude, not be afraid to challenge

  • Highly numerate - strong analytically
