Job Description

We have an immediate opportunity for a Dyno Test EngineerTechnician to join us at our diverse team in Longmont. The Dyno Test EnginneringTechnician will be responsible for setup and running electonic motor dyno for both engineering and production departments.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

• Work with test engineers and all other engineering and manufacturing departments.


• Setup and run electric motor dyno for both engineering and production.


• Setup and run dyno per engineering test plans and collect data in an organized way.


• Report test summaries and data/results location to engineering.


• Trouble shoot issues and deduce root cause based on evidence found.


• Program dyno Inverters with released and testing software.


• Organize the work area, processes and fixturing to provide accurate and reliable results.


• Diagnose and fix dynamometer equipment, couplers, adapters, sensors, meters, and other equipment associated with the dynamometer testing.


• Work with engineers to analyze test results.


• Potential perform functional safety testing per test instructions.


• Maintain equipment for safe and efficient use.


• Work on 5S projects to keep the workspace clean and safe.

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.

• Minimum of an AA degree or equivalent from Technical School in mechanical/electrical engineering/computer science or equivalent.


• Proficient in using Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, Power Point etc.


• Proficient problem-solving skills.


• Competent at learning and using various software packages to achieve required results.


• Competent at writing/editing dyno test and automation scripts.


• Similar experience could include programming scripts in Perl/Python/C++/Arduino IDE/MATLAB/LabVIEW etc.


• Hands on mechanical ability to safely work with heavy and high voltage equipment.


• Solid work history showing reliability, and attention to detail.
