Description

The Maintenance Planner oversees the maintenance department CMMS and conducts routine audits to ensure accurate completion of work orders, time entry, and overall documentation requirements. This role will be responsible to plan all aspects of maintenance work (predictive/preventative/planned).

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Daily communication with maintenance manager on various tasks assigned.
• Build and track inventories for critical spare parts based on a minimum/maximum quantity and create BOM's for associated assets.


• Daily ordering of parts and supplies as well as issuing purchase requisitions for contract services.


• Written and oral communication with vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts/supplies; reviews invoices for accurate billing and quantities.


• Track costs and spending within the maintenance department and conduct routine analysis of the spending for reporting to the Maintenance Manager.


• Assist the Maintenance Manager with small capital projects planning and coordinating in the areas of ordering parts and services, cost reporting, and proper allocation of costs.


• Preparation and filing of all documentation and paperwork in accordance with maintenance and company procedures (both hard copy and electronic.)


• Track contractor metrics in the areas of orientation, insurance requirements, and safety certifications.


• Collaborate with production in an effort to properly schedule preventative and planned maintenance efficiently.


• Create and manage scheduled maintenance tasks and task groups within the CMMS.

Position Requirements

Position Requirements:

• BS/BA College degree and equivalent Industry experience. Engineering background a plus.


• Maintenance planner certificate or equivalent.


• Five years in a manufacturing environment.


• Strong knowledge of SAP-PM would be a major plus.


• Strong computer proficiency with MS Office suite of products.


• Must have an understanding of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).


• Excellent Oral and Written communications skills are required.


• Superior Project Management/Leadership/ Creativity capabilities are required.


• Ability to balance financial obligations while continually improving quality, safety and overall operational efficiencies.


• This role requires a strong self-starter with a high degree of discipline for time management, allowing for goal achievement.
