Operations Communication Specialist at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan in Detroit, Michigan

Job Description:

Responsible for communicating and/or facilitating change management to educate multiple Service Operations audiences on the importance of the Member Experience, quality servicing, new projects and implementations, upgrades, and other priorities or initiatives as applicable.

• Leads projects, researches best practices/procedures and analyzes quality and customer service related data to independently or collaboratively develop divisional newsletters, articles or email blasts.


• Collaborate with internal and business partner audiences regarding communications content.


• Maintain an understanding of the Service Operations communications strategy and standards to support the development of communication plans that support strategic initiatives.


• Serve as lead on communication campaigns, groups, and meetings to assess needs to deliver the optimal method and messaging for communication.


• Document and communicate project concepts, milestones and results.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.  Business, Journalism, Communications or related field is preferred.


• Four (4) to Five (5) years of professional communications experience is required. 


• Previous experience working in the healthcare industry is preferred.  


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, evaluate, recommend and implement changes to processes or procedures to address problems and improve departmental effectiveness. 


• Organizational skills and ability to prioritize; must be able to lead multiple activities with varying timelines.


• Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills. 


• Ability to lead and contribute to business unit and/or corporate projects. 


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites. 


• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
