Floor Technician - Senior Communities at Catholic Charities in Baltimore, Maryland

We are currently looking for an Maintenance Porter within Catholic Charities Senior Communities.

SCHEDULE:

• Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Our Senior Communities program develops and operates affordable, supportive communities for older adults with a resolve to nurture a spirit of purpose, wellness, and harmony among both our residents and colleagues. The Maintenance department is responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the buildings and grounds. The Maintenance Porter's main responsibilities include readying apartments for occupancy, cleaning all common areas, maintaining the exterior of the property as needed, and performing routine and minor repairs.

Maintenance Porter Responsibilities:

• Maintains public space areas, to include but not limited to, plants, grounds, walkways, entrances, and
  related sites to ensure that they are kept clean and orderly according to property schedule and
  guidelines.


• Clears entrances and sidewalks of snow, ice, and other debris timely and as needed.


• Performs established routine maintenance requests, including trash removal.


• Maintains documentation of maintenance activities, noting problems found during inspections, repairs
  completed and other relevant information.


• Performs routine, preventative, and minor maintenance repair on equipment to ensure proper operation.


• Prepares apartments for occupancy according to the guidelines; performs minor maintenance in tenant
  units and related buildings.


• Assist in preparing for special events by setting up furniture, fixtures and equipment.


• Completes and submits Incident Reports as necessary.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Porter Requirements:

• High school diploma preferred


• Environmental services experience preferred


• Must be willing to work in other buildings as directed
