Job Description:

Support the Joint Venture Department on all aspects of JV Partner and underlying client relationships, which will result in an acceptable level of credit risk and an appropriate risk return relationship. The JV Analyst will play an integral part in the booking of new loans, leases or other lending products into the JV’s, managing/monitoring existing JV’s, assist in developing strategies for problem loans/leases, and assist with due diligence on new JV opportunities. In addition, the JV Analyst will have an integral role in all other ancillary initiatives under the Joint Venture Department, including but not limited to the Bank’s entry in the Alternative Energy Space and Insurance Premium Finance.


JOB DESCRIPTION


• Support the Joint Venture Department (“JVD”) on the entire spectrum of the Bank’s JV lending products in a timely and efficient manner.
• Understand the Bank’s credit policies, JV Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP”), and minimum underwriting standards.
• Ensure existing JV’s are managed according to approved standard operating procedures and recommend changes to SOP’s if appropriate.
• Assist the Joint Venture Account Executive, including review of daily/weekly/monthly collateral pool assignments from all JV’s. Ensure all information is accurate, meets SOP standards, and clients meet underwriting standards.
• Monitor JV collateral pool performance and Risk Ratings on a monthly basis and provide feedback/recommendations to the JVD.
• Ensure electronic/hardcopy files for JV clients are complete and accurate.
• Work closely with various individuals (BDO’s, AE’s, JV Partners), in order to review prospective JV transactions.
• Draft monthly board reports for the JV’s.
• Draft monthly portfolio review and watch credit memos.
• Review and provide feedback on JV financial operating performance.
• Perform due diligence on potential new JV’s at the Bank.
• Work with JV Partners in developing exit strategies for workout JV clients.
• Coordinate and schedule field exams at all JV Partners as well as Crestmark Loan Review. Further, follow up on any recommendations made.
• Perform other ad-hoc functions, projects, etc. as required.
• Position reports directly to the Joint Venture Group President.


QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS


• A bachelor’s degree is preferred with a concentration in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 2-4 years of secured lending experience, with demonstrated strong credit management skills.
• Knowledge of secured lending with a focus on both Asset Based Lending and Factoring.
• In addition to lending experience indicated above, an Asset-Based field examination background is preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to “think outside the box” and present structured solutions to complicated problems.
• A “high energy” individual with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently.
• Some travel may be required.
