Senior Art Director at Scoppechio in Louisville, Kentucky

Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Art Director with both retail experience and brand experience to help create innovative design work and conceptually driven ideas for several notable clients. The position is not fully a shopper marketing position, but it’s helpful if you have some shopper marketing experience in the book that you share.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience creating both traditional and digital work including video/TV, social, print and other mediums. You’ll have a book that proves you can deliver big ideas from a brand campaign standpoint as well as a retail and promotional standpoint. Your book will also show that you have experience working across a variety of platforms while showcasing great art direction and design. If you enjoy opportunities that require both design and concept, you’ll thrive in this position as you’ll help own the look, feel and ideas for these brands. We have a flat organizational structure as well, so you won’t be buried beneath layers and layers of approvals.

 

This role will need to sit in our Louisville, KY office. Remote options will be considered for those who live within a (2-3) hour driving window. This person will need to attend video shoots that take place in the Louisville area on a frequent basis.

Responsibilities

 

• Demonstrate the ability to make sound design and art direction decisions across all platforms


• Work on concept creation and definition of work for key clients


• Responsible for concept development, design and review of all work for your brands


• Will be a part of presentations to the client and must have good client presentation skills


• Will attend and help manage video, still and content shoots as well as other parts of the production process 

 

Qualifications 

• 6+ years of experience as an art director (agency experience preferred)


• Have some shopper marketing experience in addition to brand level experience


• Possess a deep passion and understanding of design and concept


• Demonstrate strong conceptual abilities


• Thorough understanding of selected technologies including Adobe Creative Suite.


• Possess the ability to execute the work and direct others as needed


• Detail-oriented and able to organize and prioritize their work


• Be able to prepare for and run a shoot on your own


• Strong portfolio highlighting great design, concept and proven big idea creation that crosses multiple platforms – video, digital, social and some traditional mediums


• Candidates with a strong background in video & shopper marketing with be highly considered
