Job Summary
Reporting to the Nurse Director, the Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide comprehensive care appropriate to the age of the patients served in the Transitional Care Unit as directed by nursing management. Nursing care is provided in accordance with the stated philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Service Department, regulatory agencies and professional organizations. The Registered Nurse is accountable for the safety of nursing care they deliver or supervise. The Registered Nurse is responsible to the patient and the family or significant others for the quality of direct and indirect nursing care delivered.
Minimum Qualifications
* Education
o Graduate of professional accredited nursing school required
o BSN preferred.
* Experience
o 1 to 2 years Medical/Surgical experience preferred
* Licensure and/or Certification
o Current license as a professional nurse in Massachusetts required.
o BLS healthcare provider required
* Skills
o Basic nursing skills.

o Computer skills.
o Ability to maintain confidential information.
o Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
