Job Purpose


The Global Manager, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) will lead organizational change-work that is truly transformational by leading the effective implementation of the company's DEI vision, goals and strategy. This role will be responsible for ensuring that the strategy is achieved, nurtured and cultivated across a multi-faceted, global enterprise with over 10,000 employees in over 38 countries. The role will partner with leaders from various functional areas to realize the DEI strategy in the following areas: Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning and Development, Communications, Employee Engagement, Compliance, Corporate Citizenship, Marketing and Supplier Diversity.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Act as a strategic partner to collaborate with functional leaders in the design, development and implementation of business strategies, programs and policies aimed at building a culture of genuine inclusion.

  • Translate strategy into specific actions with clear accountability while also growing enthusiasm and commitment around diversity, equity and inclusion.

  • Will act as lead DEI liaison with talent acquisition team-collaborating in developing strategies around attraction and recruiting for diverse populations: race, ethnicity, gender, LGBTQ, People with Disabilities and the veteran population.

  • Partner with learning team and other business leaders in the creation and delivery of DEI learning content for leadership and employees, (e.g., Unconscious Bias, Respect in the Workplace, Managing a Diverse Workforce etc.).

  • Map out the vision & plan for launching and sustaining additional business resource groups (BRGs). Act as the primary advisor and support to BRGs to ensure alignment between their mission and diversity strategies.

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and their respective area business leaders in identifying unique DEI needs and requirements within the respective business units, countries, and/or locations with the hope of driving better business efficiencies.

  • The ability to relate to and consult with members of all management levels within the organization.

  • Collaborate with management on DEI messaging and HR Communications both internally and externally. This will ensure the DEI strategy is successfully communicated across multiple media platforms to various partners, stakeholders and communities.

  • Gather, analyze and report on DEI data including goal measurement, benchmarking, best practices. Provides both high and detailed level of findings and trends to the HR leadership team and business partners in an effort to drive strategic direction and priorities.

  • Participates in local and/or national peer DEI networks and keep current on developments in the field of DEI.

  • Manages diversity budget, ensuring expenditures are within established limits.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent 4-Year University degree required. Master's Degree in Human Resources, Management, or Business is preferred.

  • 7-10+ years professional experience in diversity & inclusion, human resources and/or a related business area where a significant component of the role involved both operational HR or other business experience AND leading inclusion programs and initiatives.

  • Preferred DEI certification and/or DEI training and/or equivalent.

  • Experience working with a wide range of people from diverse racial, cultural, economic, and other backgrounds. Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with diverse staff.

  • This position must be a "change management agent" creating and leading initiatives and projects that will affect intentional and transformational change in the systems, structure, and culture of the organization.

  • Strong business acumen, excellent communication/influencing skills, planning/project management skills and thrive working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Fluency in English required, with excellent written and verbal communications skills, as well as the ability to present internally and externally before varied audiences. Multi-lingual a plus.

  • Advanced relationship management experience and consulting skills. Ability to lead, engage and build consensus across various levels of leaders in a matrixed organization through collaboration and influence.

  • Hands on experience with research and data analysis.

  • Working knowledge and understanding of all applicable EEO laws and/or Affirmative Action planning. Direct work experience with - issues of women, people of color, religious affiliation, race, age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation and disability.

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion; set and maintains standards for confidentiality, apply policies with consistency, use creativity in problem solving; ability to integrate information and use sound judgment and retain a positive outlook under pressure.

  • Willingness and ability to travel, as needed, to attend evening and weekend meetings, and to be available for consultation within and outside office hours.
