This position will primarily focus on leading the development and ongoing continuous improvement of Demand Planning, specifically all components within Demand Planning, including, metrics, processes, systems and organizational capability, across all KCC businesses globally. The position will lead the systems preparation, pre-implementation and post-implementation optimization and analytical support for ensuring KCC achieves a superior capability in all processes within Demand Planning. The position acts as the primary point of contact for demand planning system support from the region and BU demand planning teams and the IT organization. The role functions to improve the capability of the Demand Planning Organization by continuously focusing on improving the regional utilization, output accuracy and system performance of the demand planning system. The role will act as the center of excellence for system optimization and as master level training support for the regions / BUs.  The Incumbent will be primary POC with the vendor on improvements/changes to the system as well as issue resolution.

  • Lead the implementation, optimization and enhancement of state of the art statistical forecasting models, in conjunction with the vendors, to enable predictive planning and trade promotion management using mathematics and statistical tools and processes.

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert on the optimization of volume and trade modeling for the Demand Planning process. Collaborate with the business unit, supply chain, and customer requirements while ensuring alignment with business and functional initiatives.

  • Lead, develop and clearly communicate Key Performance Indicators for modeling and related software tools or processes.

  • Effectively communicate and influence Demand Planning team members, Sales Planning, field teams and IT teams as needed.

  • Conduct in field support to train and validate optimization of system usage & output on periodic or as requested basis.

  • Enhance the position by thoroughly reviewing all activities performed in order to improve the quality and productivity of services provided. Keep informed of industry initiatives/trends, new technologies and process enhancements through benchmarking and best practices research that can be leveraged to support team objectives.

  • Support the shaping and sustaining of effective, motivated teams that deliver desired results by: providing vision and direction; building trust; leveraging individual abilities; and ensuring best practices are utilized

  • Communicate effectively with leaders, subordinates and others who have a need to know thereby influencing and building trusting relationships. Communicate in a way that is timely, prompt; complete, concise; candid, accurate; clear, and responsive.
