Evoqua Water Technologies is seeking an Engineering Intern in Waukesha, WI.

The Engineering Intern will assist in executing custom and standard designed equipment offerings, in accordance with Customer's specifications, for use in the Municipal Wastewater business working closely with Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

• Ensures engineering and design tasks are completed on time and on budget while upholding the highest quality along with meeting Customer technical requirements.
• Design customized equipment by creating drawings and 3D models such as: general arrangements for submittal, assemblies, weldments and fabrication drawings for manufacturing.
• Perform calculations associated with numerous engineering related topics including: machine design, structural design, structural welding - AWS D1.1, material sizing, sizing pumps / blowers, piping / valves, pressure vessels, burners, steel tank fabrication and instrumentation / controls based on the requirements of each project.
• Communicate with the Project Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer and Project Manager on technical decisions and project deliverables.
• Coordinate with manufacturing facility and external suppliers for component selection, manufacturing execution and assembly.
• Support the Sales & Marketing department by creating drawings for use in proposals to Customers.

FORMAL EDUCATION:

• Pursuing a BS in Engineering (Mechanical Preffered)

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Team oriented.
• Highly organized and able to work on multiple projects at once.
• Working independently with the ability to escalate problems.
• Experience/Proficiency with 3D CAD (Inventor) desired.
• Knowledge of welding (AWS D1.1 and ASME VIII).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Some travel to other locations, meetings and/or seminars is may be required.

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with 3D parametric CAD Software (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
