Job Responsibilities
This position is part of Supplier Quality, Assessment and Development (SQAD) in the Global Operations Organization. SQAD is an organization that is innovative in manufacturing technology, materials, and supply chain design. In this position, you will participate in new product introduction, i.e., design, process, test, reliability, and manufacturing to solve product issues and production problems.
In this role, you will work directly with supplier to develop/manufacture new or modified designs of pedestal and showerhead used in Lam wafer processing equipment. Pedestal and showerhead are the key components and differentiators of Lam's deposition product. You will play a vital role with pedestal and showerhead supplier development, and will have the opportunity to work across organization functions to resolve technical, quality and production challenges, as well as opportunity to develop excellence in product design and manufacturing throughout the supply chain. You will lead exploration of new fabrication technologies and new materials for application to Lam's products to enable new capabilities, reduce variation in manufacturing, and improve product performance. You will be accountable for high profile project timelines and milestones.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum BS degree in engineering disciplines with preference MS in Materials Science, Mechanical Eng, Electrical Engineering, or Chemical Eng
• 5+ years of related experience with BS; or 3+ years with MS
• Solid understanding of GD&T, machining and joining techniques
• Hands on experience in process development, manufacturing engineering or product development in high tech industry
• Experience in fabrication & manufacturing technologies of metals, ceramics, and coatings
• Working knowledge of SPC, DOE, FMEA, FA, RCCA, 8D & 5-Whys Problem solving
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skill, and experience in cross-functional project management
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Ability to travel within US and internationally

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years applicable experience in the semiconductor industry or product design
• 5+ years of experience in machining, metal fusion, or material joining processes
• Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, or maintaining semiconductor process equipment
• Fundamental understanding of heat transfer, mass transfer, electrical systems, and basic mechanics of mate rials
