This position will be focusing primarily on our Reserve Power applications, which include telecommunications, IT, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), utilities and switchgear, security, emergency lighting and general electronics. Some of the reserve power brands include PowerSafe,DataSafe, and Genesis. Our extensive product range serves a variety of reserve power applications and consistently delivers the most effective, powerful and reliable batteries available.


Job Purpose


Using a high degree of analytical expertise, manage product pricing and provide support to the sales and customer service function in accordance with business objectives and corporate guidelines. As a member of the Purcell team, you will conduct business according to the details of your job description and the employee manual, with a commitment to continuous improvement and respect for people.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


* Manage product pricing, customer ordering guides, and contractual pricing agreements in accordance with corporate guidelines.

* Monitor product margin performance to ensure business objectives are being met.

* Create customer quotations as requested by Sales and as approved by Product Management if not a released product offering.

* Evaluate, recommend, coordinate and negotiate alternative configurations and opportunity positioning to better support business objectives and customer needs.

* Maintain a detailed quotation log that serves as a validation tool for customer service on new order entry. Review any exceptions not on the quotation log or customer ordering guides prior to order entry ensuring accuracy, acceptable margin performance and Product Management approval on non-released cabinets or options on proposals.

* Serve as a CRM Administrator by managing users, customer accounts, opportunity information, and reporting.

* Maintain all related quotation templates and tools in accordance with corporate guidelines.

* Prepare financial analyses and offer recommendations in support of business case reviews and customer RFQ's.

* Assist account managers by providing information and quotes directly to the customer as needed.

* Review contracts and complete related documents as requested.

* Work with various internal departments, such as product management, operations, engineering, management, and customer care, to support related work activities.

* Create, as necessary, and maintain documentation and records in accordance with established procedures.

* Participate in and/or lead project teams related to improving business performance related to aspects of your job functions.

* Support TL90000 metrics validation and reporting

* Provide input on processes, procedures, materials, and services to support innovation and continuous improvement.

* Lead/participate in continuous improvement activities.

* Support continuous improvement efforts with the team and promote healthy, respectful communications.

* Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or related field, or; an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

  • Minimum five years of experience in sales-related operations required with involvement in developing quotes and analyzing margins preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, plus experience with ERP system (SAP) and CRM system (Salesforce) preferred

  • Self-Motivated with a proven track record of success

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills

  • Experience working on project teams

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
