What you'll do

You will be assigned to the Corporate Legal Team in Legal, where you will learn what it is like to practice law in a dynamic and busy in-house legal department. There you will have the chance to work on a variety of legal issues with seasoned attorneys from many different fields, including privacy, marketing, labor and employment, patent, procurement, contracts, copyright, and corporate affairs. Your day may include attending a client meeting, doing legal research, or working on a project to help streamline the legal ramifications of a business objective.

To qualify for this position, you should be a self-starter with good time management skills. You should also have excellent research and writing skills and should always be willing to take on tasks with appropriate direction.

Job Responsibilities

    Research and writing, as assigned;
  • Attendance and participation in client meetings (virtual);

  • Contract drafting and revisions;

  • Assistance with various long-term projects which include but are not limited to:


    • research regarding new international privacy laws;

    • AI (artificial intelligence) protocols and compliance;

    • reviewing Privacy Impact Assessments for new SAS processes;

    • assistance in researching and redrafting various company policies, including relating to COVID-19 and future of work policies; and

    • Litigation discovery support as needed.


What are we looking for?


  • Currently enrolled in an accredited law school and seeking a Juris Doctor Degree in a US Based school.

  • Must not be graduating prior to the beginning of the internship and must be enrolled to return to school after the internship ends.

Additional

  • This position would start on May 15, 2021 and work remotely full-time during the summer and 15-20 hours during the school year.

What type of skills do we prefer?

Motivated self-starters willing to take on projects and return them in a timely manner. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Lexis. Willing to tackle projects in a wide range of substantive areas.
