Software Tester - US Air Force MQ-9 Reaper

Overview

i3 is looking for a Software Tester to support US Air Force RPA - MQ-9 Reaper simulated training systems (MJAT) as well as other RPA-related development activities. The candidate will provide in-depth software testing on the Air Force MQ-9 Reaper simulation software suite as well as other JSIL software products. The candidate will be part of a Software Test team writing test plans and test cases using Azure Dev Ops and Microsoft Test Manager. The candidate will create and maintain tests that effectively exercise functionality of code and requirements according to test plans as well as writing software trouble reports. The candidate will participate in the Agile Development Process (SCRUM) and the daily and weekly meetings required to forecast upcoming tasks as well as Sprint Grooming and Planning activities. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain test cases based on hardware and software requirements.
• Provide in-depth testing for SOPTT and WST software products and supporting software. This includes building and running test cases, writing necessary bug reports, and creating summaries of your findings through exploratory testing.


• Active participant in development team to supporting development activities and providing insights based on user interactions


• Provide on-site customer support that includes installing, configuring, advanced troubleshooting, and validation of the complete software suite.


• Provide instruction on all simulation component software.


• Assisting System engineers in creating requirements for future JSIL software products.


• Supporting the deployment and integration of SOPTT and WST trainers throughout DoD.


• Train instructors and operators in the configuration and operation of the SOPTT and WST trainers and simulation capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 3 years of relevant experience required. Additional experience may substitute for degree, including a High School diploma + 9 years of relevant experience.


• Knowledge of US Air Force MQ-9 Reaper sensor software and flight operations.


• Experience of productivity tracking tools e.g. Azure DevOps.


• Have a thorough technical knowledge of Agile Development methodologies, design, and implementation.


• Experience using Microsoft Team Foundation Server and Test Manager.


• Experience with Windows/Linux operating systems and administration.


• Continually learn relevant new technologies and apply them to the role.


• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
