Essential Duties:

• Handle phone calls


• Provide support for walk-in customers experiencing issues/questions while attempting to collect/deliver cargo


• Provide a line of communication and support to SSLs, civilians, freight forwarders/brokers, and trucking companies


• Prepare quotations via email, upon inquiry


• Oversee and support clerk to ensure accurate customs documentation procedure, including DW notations


• Receive, review, approve, and log QuickPass Priority Appointment requests


• Assist Terminal Services Manager with terminal and vendor billing, as needed


• Ensure effective telephone and email communications both internally and externally to maintain a professional image


• Recommends and implements best practice process and procedures in all areas associated with customers


• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience, Certifications):

• Associates degree in Marine Operations, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.


• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.


• 2+ years of experience in an office environment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook skills


• Knowledge and basic understanding of the terminal operations


• A basic understanding of accounting principles is essential including billing


• Requires a high level of planning and organizational skills, with high attention to detail


• Requires exceptional time management, due to fast-moving, demanding work environment


• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written


• Effective customer service skills


• Motivated and flexible team player

Working Conditions:

• Office environment with exposure to terminal with moving objects and machinery


• The environment may be hazardous to persons unable to see or hear fast moving heavy equipment


• Ability to lift approximately 15-20 lbs.


• Able to travel to PA Sites in the NJ area.


• Able to sit and type 50%
