Job Description:

The Transformation Office is at the epicenter of driving an operational excellence (OE) culture through transformation efforts across AT&T Inc operating companies. Leaders joining the organization have a passion for thinking strategically, executing tactically, collaborating broadly using data, analytics and OE capabilities to improve AT&T’s culture, customer journey and cost structure.

Description:
The Director - Transformation sits within the Transformation Office Continuous Improvement (CI) Team and is responsible for partnering with the Transformation Office Execution Leads, Business Partners, and working teams to support Continuous Improvement training, charter development and execution. This includes support and validation of root cause, solution effectiveness in addressing root cause factors, control plans, and communication across business units and to senior leadership. This role is also responsible for:

  • ensuring BU Transformation portfolio initiatives address root cause issues.
  • partnering with BU’s to develop leadership and grass roots CI portfolio initiatives.
  • supporting BU abilities to leverage Continuous Improvement methods and adopt Operational Excellence capabilities.
  • collaborating with organizations to increase talent pool of Continuous Improvement leads capable of leveraging OE capabilities (e.g. DMAIC, DFSS, Lean, Design Thinking, Scaled Agile, value stream mapping, etc…).

To be successful, the Director – Transformation will have:

  • prior experience as an OE/CI Master or deep extensive training with Continuous Improvement
  • prior experience successfully building/leading enterprise scale and/or Corporate OE/CI programs
  • prior experience managing corporate/enterprise reporting and systems for corporate OE/CI programs and deployment portfolio(s)
  • demonstrated track record of developing CI training plans and certification paths for large scale deployments.
  • broad business knowledge with strong data and analytics capabilities
  • a demonstrated ability and track record of driving significant business impact and culture change,
  • strong executive presence, coaching/mentoring, facilitation, presentation skills for all levels of the organization and the ability to lead across teams through an informal leadership structure.
  • proficiency with data analytics/visualization tools (e.g. Minitab, PowerBI, Jump, Tableau, etc…) and the MS Office Suite of applications (e.g. Excel, Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Word).
  • experience leading program/project management teams

Education: Typically, a Bachelor or Advanced degree preferred.  Continuous Improvement Master/Master Black Belt Certification desired.
Experience: 10 years directly relevant experience
