This is a hands-on technical position, working with storage, networking and enterprise server (ISS) products.  You should have the experience and ability to read/interpret schematics, printouts and specifications as needed to complete tests to determine the functionality of function area. The person in this role will ensure testing instruments are calibrated and verified on a regular basis. They will participate with the debugging and troubleshooting of new and existing procedures, equipment, products etc., and create new test programs/procedures as needed for new technology.

Education and Experience Required:

• Typically an Associate's degree or equivalent experience and/or 1-2 years related experience.


• May include highly experienced individuals performing entry-level equivalent work who are non-degreed or degreed in an unrelated field.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Basic knowledge of the selected field.


• Basic computer hardware knowledge


• Experience with computer hardware (at least 1-2 years’ experience preferred)


• Knowledge in Operating systems (Linux, Windows, etc.)


• Knowledge in Microsoft Office and SharePoint


• Basic networking knowledge

Pluses

• A+ certification training or similar


• Experience with networking hardware (Switches, Routers, Hubs)


• Some experience with scripting (powershell, bash, etc.)


• Extensive network knowledge and experience with different networking vendors such as CISCO, 3COM, Aruba


• Experience with storage arrays and SAN


• Experience with Windows Deployment Services (WDS) and Preboot Exectution Environment (PXE)
