Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The internship will offer the participant work experience in Purchasing and Materials Management for Manufacturing.  Involving a multitude of projects that show how departments connect and plan for ingredients needed to produce Herbalife products.  This will include training on the resources and understanding of Pack size, production volumes, Lead times that help drive the demand to order materials and the importance of system maintenance to keep materials in stock.  The intern can expect to learn the basic of Supply Chain and supply relationships.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Research specifications confirm Country of Origin of materials and gain an understanding raw material change request in Agile.


• Optimize and support the reporting of Safety Stock requirements and update where needed.


• Creating, Expediting and Rescheduling of Orders gain understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP).


• Requesting and updating Lead time and pack size detail. Gain understanding of Oracle by making updates in the system.


• Assist with Excel in developing Purchasing reports.

Perform additional duties as assigned

Experience:

• 0–1 year of related Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or other related fields
