Summary of Position:

Oversees the formal Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure it meets the requirements of the International, Aerospace Quality standards, and company requirements. This role will ensure that the QMS meets the certification requirements and maintains current with all new developments from the International Organization for Standardization and the International Aerospace Quality Group as well as other industry practices as it relates to quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Support attainment of company quality objectives, projects, and goals

• Meet all assigned goals

• Ensures external certification requirements are met and is the main point of contact with Certification Bodies. Will coordinate and facilitate all activities for the external QMS audits

• Responsible for the internal audit process by ensuring that corporate documents meet all requirements, monitor effectiveness, and lead improvements of the process. Will support the organizations with internal system audits, as well as process audits.

• Responsible for leading the customer complaint system, 8D, and calibration system

• Lead and support formal problems solving projects

• Responsible for identifying training needs, preparing, and delivering training in quality, and LSS subjects

• Identify, improve, deliver innovative solutions for existing processes

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree

• 3-5 years experience in a Manufacturing Environment

• Demonstrated leadership and team building skills

• Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

• Knowledge of quality management systems applicable to the business

• Responsible for a formal QMS certified to a recognized International Quality Standard

• Strong knowledge in 8D formal problem methodologies

• LSS GB certified

• Preferred Requirements:

§ Bachelor's in a technical field

§ LSS BB certified

§ Responsible for a QMS with an AS9100 certification
