Shift A: 7:00am - 7:00pm Rotating Schedule
Pay Range: $14.85 - $15.95


SUMMARY OF POSITION


The Chemical Applications Operator is responsible for loading, unloading, operating and troubleshooting the entire high-speed chemical applications line including - services the machine with chemical; packs, boxes, and palletizes the finished product.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.






  • Unloads slit rolls from Gaylord box and inspects for correct slit edge quality and contamination




  • Feeds tape into lanes stacked evenly




  • Able to change over all stations on this machine, adjust rails and bars according to the smaller or larger diameter




  • Verifies Bill of Material making sure the proper supplies are being used and assuring the tickets match




  • Able to keep QA camera station cleared of all reject rolls




  • Verify powder filled in the cups and bins.




  • Responsible for clearing jams in stations.




  • Visually Inspect all products as it comes off the line before packing into boxes




  • Able to thread up top and bottom labelers correctly




  • Correctly Load canisters and lids in their respective stations at rate to match machine thru-put




  • Packs canister into specified box or display carton




  • Applies labels to canisters and lids as necessary (if missed on machine)




  • Assists in the development of new procedures and process improvements




  • Assists in training new associates




  • Daily cleaning duties, all the eyes on this machine need to be cleaned daily, floor etc.




  • Performs any other duties or assignments made by Shift Manager

  • Able to perform data-entry on SAP Computer System




  • Familiar with company philosophy, procedures, practices, manufacturing environment and equipment




  • Possesses a strong work ethic; able to work independently, effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision

WORK ENVIRONMENT




This is a fast-paced work environment with consistent pressure to complete duties as outlined above which requires ability to manage multiple projects at a detailed level and provide support to many internal departments in a fast-changing environment. Many duties listed above are time-sensitive and have strict deadlines for completion.





  • High noise levels in certain parts of the plant




  • Wears proper PPE in the manufacturing area (shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection)
