Job Summary:

SAP S4 is the next generation ERP that would form the Digital Core of the Enterprise. This will be a very large Transformation program over the next 4-5 years with a heavy investment. This will replace core ERP systems that have been in use over the last 15+ years leveraging new technologies, in particular SAP’s S4 HANA platform and a number of surround systems to advance customer solution capabilities.

This program on Digital Core is aimed to deliver to the strategic theme of “Simpler Faster Leaner” across all our core processes, driving standardization & simplification without compromising speed & agility.

An advance team of business leaders is being setup under a Customer Solutions Lead.

The role will help support the leader in transforming order to cash processes to:

Generate Substantial Revenue Growth for the Business, Redefine and Deliver Elevated Levels of Service to our Customers and Consumers, Achieve Best in Class Cost Transformation Delivery, Relentless Pursuit and Delivery of Cash Generation

Key Accountabilities of this Role

Initial Program Stages:


  • Bring strong product perspective on the “art of the possible” on Global Trade processes and interactions with Order to Cash processes. Including but not limited to international transportation, import / export compliance with govt. agencies, foreign trade, trade content w/ analytics, and mgmt. processes


  • Interface with teams in IT, Global Business Services, Commercial and Supply Chain Functions to look at pain points / bottlenecks as well as explicit & latent needs


  • Link up externally to identify Best & Next practices in Global Trade


  • Design the processes of the future and spell out quantified and strategic benefits


  • Support in the development of estimation on Effort, Resources & Costs of this program


  • Call out potential risks and change management challenges and identify mitigation steps


  • Help identify Technology and Process partners to support the journey


  • Help flesh out the structure of the larger teams to follow in the detailed design and build stage of the program


As the program moves to the blueprinting, design and build stage, this role, along with other peer team members, will be responsible to:


  • Lead detailed blueprint workshops to validate and flesh out work done in preparation phase


  • Drive to standard design to make the future system and process more resilient and efficient


  • Project Manage the build / configuration with stakeholders


In the implementation phase, this role, along with other peer members, will be responsible for:


  • Efficient landing of the aligned system and processes with business and technical stakeholders


  • Ensuring delivery of the aligned outcomes


  • Efficient and effective change management


Key Qualifications and Experiences:


  • Business process individuals that have expert knowledge in Global Trade processes – International transportation and management strategy to support new digital needs for KC Business.


  • Individual should be experienced with import/export compliance with governmental agencies, foreign trade and trade content (including analytics associated with the different processes).


  • Basic understanding of various process of Order to Cash (Order Acquisition through Fulfillment); especially with regard to Global Trade process connections to order fulfillment processes.


  • Understanding of Customer Master Data / Product Master Data / Customer Hierarchy / Pricing etc. and set-ups that have efficient impact on sharing information with the customer.


  • Built roadmaps on prioritized processes that drive transformational value.



  • Led the development of Order Management Template with functional stakeholders (IT, Commercial, SC etc.) and identify opportunity areas for transformational advancements but not limited to below:



    • Service: Improved Customer Service; through OTIF and provide Order Visibility


    • Cost: Reduced Cost/Order: Improved efficiencies in order processing


    • Quality: Reduced number of touches per order; with higher accuracy




  • Has led and facilitated regional blueprint sessions.


  • Has led and supported development of functional specifications with regions with the Global Trade module.


  • Has managed large transformational projects, ensuring the projects stay on track.  


  • Ensure user acceptance testing is successful for the new development.


  • Ensure training of users on the Global Trade system with Global Template.


  • Ensure that the project has end user support during go-live and hyper-care.


  • Experience in business analysis and process re-engineering to identify opportunities and to make a robust business case with quantified benefits on the focus areas.


  • Experience in drafting business requirements to deliver to our digital technology partners.


  • Strong facilitation, leadership, creative thinking, and collaboration skills required. Must display vision and resiliency and the ability to engage and communicate with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.


  • Display learning agility and ability to play evolving roles – in this case from a key lead member of an advance team, to a functional member of a larger program team.


  • Track record of delivery with internal and external teams of professionals.


  • Experience in change management with users and trapping business benefits.


  • Experience working with virtual teams across time zones.


Technical/Domain Skills:


  • 10+ years of experience in Global Trade processes


  • 3+ years project experience in Order to Cash processes


  • Extensive experience in providing support to transform business performance in Order Management


  • Experience in generating insights (knowing when to go deep / go wide) and communicate business opportunities


  • Experience with large consumer product companies a big plus


  • Strong communication and presentation skills


  • Able and willing to produce process documentation and functional specs


  • Must be a good team player, able to work in multi-cultural environments
