About the Operating Room:
UC Medical Center is the regions only level one trauma center and academic medical center. UCMC's Perioperative Services is expanding with the construction of 8 additional state of the art operating suites, pre and post recovery bays, sterile processing and a new pre-admission testing clinic. Slated to open in early 2023, these additions will increase UC Health's ability to provide outstanding care to patients and their families.

Primary Purpose:
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the registered nurse provides care to surgical patients and their families. Utilizing the nursing process, the registered nurse assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care that is evidenced based, culturally and age specific. The RN plays a critical role in the patient experience, quality, safety and staff engagement with the overall goal of providing world class care that contributes to positive outcomes.

Knowledge and Skills: 2 years OR experience preferred.

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

Licenses and Certifications: Registered nursing license in state of practice.
