Ontario Systems has a new and exciting position as Interchange Analyst in our Payment Operations department.

Location This position will be remote. Candidate may work where they live anywhere in the United States.

Visa sponsorship or transfer of an existing visa is not available for this position. Applicants must be authorized to work directly for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship or transfer.

What You'll Do


  • Reviewing payment data from multiple processors and developing and maintaining processes to further analyze payments data, monitor payments costs, perform interchange analysis, and identify payment issues and solutions.

  • Developing forward-thinking interchange optimization and cost management strategies and tactics for merchants.

  • Track market trends, card network programs, activities in the acquiring space. Benchmarking information and transforming into recommendations and action plans. This includes updates from providers, schemes, industry news/reports, and technology developments.

  • Perform analyses to identify optimization opportunities that reduce clients' card processing fees from interchange, assessments, dues, and acquiring fees

  • Determine the necessary data required to work with projects and perform analysis.

  • Review, append, and consolidate payments data from multiple acquirers.

  • Update databases, create tools, and libraries with findings from research and analysis.


What You'll Need

  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of Interchange

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics. MBA or relevant advanced degree a plus.

  • 1- 2 years related experience

  • Independent, self-motivated, intelligent, entrepreneurial

  • Knowledge of the payments industry, including payment processing, credit card interchange and scheme fees and other payment methods.

  • Proficient in Excel and experience using BI/data visualizations tools such as Tableau, Power BI

  • Experience in computers, business, accounting, or other related fields is desired.

  • Basic prioritization and organization skills
