Job Description:

The IMES Sr. Manager of Technical Product will facilitate the delivery of technology solutions by leading, developing and empowering a team of Technical Product Owners and delivery managers for the IMES products currently under Marty Solomon. The Sr. Manager uses department objectives, metrics and Agile frameworks to manage performance, drive continuous improvement and provide guidance and feedback to engineering teams to ensure delivery of business value.

  • Engineering knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, Teradata, Hadoop, Content Management & Informatics

  • User experience and solution design not being an after thought

  • Leadership acumen

  • High degree of comfort in fast-paced dynamic / ambiguous environment

  • Proven skill at balancing technical knowledge with business possibility and acumen

  • Ability to work cross functionally with Delivery, Compliance, IRM, Infrastructure, and Software Engineering

  • Passionate member advocate with ability to identify and meet customer needs within AGILE framework

  • Demonstrate an always learning mindset; new technology, leadership and management skills, delivery practices, etc.


  • Must be a current contractor with Cigna, Express Scripts, or Evernorth. Evernorth is a new business within the Cigna Corporation.


How you'll make a difference:


  • Transformation Change Agent Acts as a change agent to drive transformation and continuous improvement. Partners with scrum masters, coaches and Engineering leadership to employ a metrics-based approach to identify opportunities and optimize team performance. Identifies and assists TPOs with implementation of strategies to achieve performance goals.

  • TPO Developer Leads and develops the Technical Product team, ensures that overall department objectives are achieved and business value is delivered for a defined group of technical products. Enables and engages TPOs by managing individual and team development plans to advance skills and team maturity.

  • Business Case Development and Work Initiation Collaborates with business product owners and stakeholders to initiate new business initiatives, supports the development of business program specifications and business case, works with Technology teams to estimate financial requirements.

  • Prime Collaborator and Impediment Remover Collaborates across functional, operational and technology groups to ensure the right people are engaged and assists with key stakeholder negotiations. Serves as an escalation point to mitigate issues, remove impediments and resolve conflict.

For this position in Colorado, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 110,400.00, +/- 20%, depending on experience.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
