Edelman has an opening in the Portland office for an Analyst Relations (AR) practitioner within the West Coast technology practice. We are seeking an Account Executive (AE) to join our growing team of talented and collaborative communications professionals who provide a diverse client base with expert counsel in analyst relations, communications & event planning, content development, and media and influencer engagement. The AR Account Executive exhibits strong understanding in all areas of analyst relations, including development and/or execution of strategic client plans and building and maintenance of professional relationships with industry analyst contacts. As an AE on the AR team, you will have the opportunity to help drive new business and marketing efforts, as well as lend support to teams across practice areas, which makes interest and comfort in driving PR programs as well as AR efforts highly desired.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate the ability to manage up, as well as manage across with peers and mentor account team members
Anticipate client needs and act accordingly to provide superior client service
Support in the management of planning and execution of the account's analyst relations programs, including organizing work streams and helping to coordinate analyst outreach, scheduling tours and staffing briefings, developing regular client reports, as well as other day-to-day general account management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry analysts as well as internal stakeholders and clients
Gather, distill, and share insights gleaned from collecting feedback from analyst coverage, industry conferences and analyst comments
Demonstrates the ability to write, edit and proofread to create high quality internal and external, channel-appropriate communications content
Demonstrates practical understanding of visual communications, desktop multimedia, social media and the digital landscape and how to incorporate these into client programs
Communicates effectively with team members
Manages multiple projects for multiple clients from concept to completion by anticipating challenges, troubleshooting problems, proposing solutions, offering client counsel, overseeing quality, and ensuring deadline and budget adherence
Participates in cross-practice and cross-geographical teams to provide clients and prospects with the most compelling team and proposal
Basic Qualifications:
At least one year of relevant experience in Analyst Relations and/or PR experience with general interest and knowledge of top analyst firms and individual analysts, as well as general knowledge of the top tech industry publications and reporters
Preferred Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university
Proven ability to lead and manage multiple small or medium-sized projects simultaneously
Clear understanding of the clients' businesses and their missions, as well as their key stakeholders: consumers, employees, investors, regulators, media, vendors, partners, other businesses/organizations, etc.
Demonstrated ability to help develop communication programming and plans, implement integrated tactics and impart knowledge to junior account team members
Able to perform well under pressure and be a team player
Strong research, writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to interact with clients professionally and maintain relationships with media members
