Job Description:

A Chief Operating Officer (COO) is sought by Optimum Agriculture FL, LLC in Miami, FL to direct and coordinate worker activities, such as planting, irrigation, chemical application, harvesting, grading, payroll, and record-keeping. Contracts with farmers or independent owners for raising of crops or for management of crop production. Coordinates growing activities with those of engineering, equipment maintenance, packing houses, and other related departments. Analyzes market conditions to determine acreage allocations. Confers with purchasers and arranges for sale of livestock. Records information, such as production, farm management practices, and prepares financial and operational reports. Analyzes soil to determine type and quantity of fertilizer required for maximum production. Inspects equipment to ensure proper functioning. Adheres to principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems. Follows business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Assists in the calculation and payment of the taxes on the business. Responsible for daily administration of financial and accounting practices of the business performing accounting duties as directed including budgeting and costing control. Develops accounting and financial management systems and reports. Analyzes and interprets monthly operating or project performance against budget. A Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering or foreign equivalent with five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in the alternative five (5) years of experience as a Chief Agronomist is required. Mail resumes to: Gaston Marquevich, CEO, Optimum Agriculture FL, LLC, 333 SE 2nd Ave., #2810, Miami, FL 33131.
