In this role, you will be responsible for supplier management initiatives, in particular supplier qualifications and process governance. The strategic importance of this role is to ensure supply chain agility, business continuity, and speed to innovations by keeping the pipeline of qualification projects moving and delivering desired outcome set forth by business strategies. Being the focal point of contact, you will be partnering and interfacing with Category Management teams from both TBA Sourcing and Procurement Operations (Beer), Quality, Planning, Innovations, and breweries stakeholders. Additionally, you will be delivering process governance and establishing a global process that is scalable when it comes to increasing project volume and/or scope expansion.

As part of the PCOE team, you will also have ownership of supplier development related initiatives, including but not limit to: developing and tracking suppliers performance metrics, supplier site audits and evaluation, supplier relationship programs roll-out, and Procurement advancement projects.

You will report directly to Senior Manager, Procurement Effectiveness. Preferred location will be Chicago, IL (USA) or Mexico City (Mexico).

Responsibilities

Qualifications and Process Governance


  • Manage a pipeline of projects to ensure project status transparency and prioritize based on business criticality, timing, and resource availability

  • Be the liaison between suppliers and CBI supply chain stakeholders (e.g., Quality, Planning, Innovation, Procurement, and brewery productions) and be the focal point of contact for supplier qualification process from Procurement

  • Support category strategies, brewery operations, and marketing goals to ensure business continuity or speed to innovations through qualifying selected suppliers or materials to deliver expected outcomes

  • Establish one global process that could be scalable when it comes to scope expansions and increasing project volume. Establish governance and strive for process continuous improvement 

  • Drive solution of any issue that may affect supplier or material qualification

  • Maintain relationships and interfacing with PCOE’s network of partners

Supplier Performance Management & Evaluation:


  • Establish and monitor supplier's quality and service performance post-qualifications

  • Enhance supplier performance tracking process and share evaluation results to ensure feedback loop is closed on supplier metrics

  • Develop and assist Procurement projects to improve supplier's performance and provide supplier management support to strengthen the relationship between companies

  • Establish and maintain effective partnerships with selected key supplier

Minimum Qualifications


  • Experience with program management and deploying processes enhancement

  • Experience of working with procurement operations and understand the role it plays throughout the entire supply chain

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex findings and pitch new initiatives to senior leaders for continuous improvement

  • Experience in supplier development, including but not limited to: supplier qualifications, performance evaluation, and overall supplier relationship management

  • Aptitude to set priorities while managing multiple tasks, as well as proficiency for follow-up

  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal

  • 5+ years experience of relevant experience

  • <20% of travel per year

Preferred Qualifications


  • Fluent in Spanish

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Quality or Supply Chain

  • Experience in procurement lifecycle, including roles in Sourcing, Category Management, Supplier Management, Vendor Management as well as Source to Pay

  • Experience in Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma Continuous Improvement (Green Belt or higher), and/or Lean Manufacturing

  • Familiarity with SAP HANA/S4 and procurement related technology

  • Technical knowledge of handling and manufacturing materials

    • Packaging materials: Glass, Carton, Labels, and Cans

    • Indirect: Pallets, films, adhesives, dunnage production requirements and performance.

    • Ingredients: Malt and Hops

Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods. Lifting may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
