Overview

Supports requirements/phases of all sub-projects, including but not limited to Payment Processing, Customer Portal, Use Case Implementation.

Responsibilities

    Has stewardship of specific process areas; for each process area:

    1. Possesses procedural knowledge and technical skill in a specific discipline

    2. Analyzes business needs and helps develop solutions during design and configuration phases

    3. Authorized to make business process decisions for their process area


  1. Fully participates in the design of business rules and the configuration of the Solution:

    1. Provides input on tasks, risks, issues, and changes

    2. Reviews and comments on draft project documents



  2. Participates in the Analysis & Design phase

  3. Prepares and documents business processes, controls, and reports:

    1. Applies and adapts current business processes to the functionality and configuration of the new system(s)

    2. Works with Business Lead, other Team members and vendor(s) to find ways to improve business processes and controls leveraging the new functionality; develop test plans and scenarios

    3. Helps to finalize potential impacts to business processes

    4. Documents new or revised business processes and procedures



  4. Works with the Business Lead, Report Developer, and other Team members to prepare and document business reports

  5. Participates in all training; acquires in-depth knowledge of the product

  6. May serve as in-house trainer before and after cutover

  7. Participates in team meetings

  8. Signs off on all design and configuration decisions in the respective area

  9. Involved in all functional testing:

    1. Works with Business Lead and Business Analyst to develop test plans

    2. Develops and documents test scenarios

    3. Conducts tests

    4. Works with Business Lead, team members and vendor(s) to identify and resolve problems identified during testing

    5. Helps plan implementation



  10. Works with Business Lead, Team members, and Report Developer to analyze and develop workflows, configuration solutions, and reports

  11. Facilitates analysis and discussion of solutions developed during design and configuration phases

  12. Drafts, reviews, and helps produce project documents in respective area of concentration

  13. Takes notes for team and steering committee meetings

  14. Helps other team members and users to document new or revised procedures

  15. Helps design/define reports needed to support the organization

  16. Complies with all safety rules and cooperates in the fullest in the promotion of safety and safe work habits, to include the reporting of any unsafe conditions or acts. Maintains all EH&S training on a current basis.

  17. Complies with all applicable MIC and Hawaii Gas policies and procedures.

  18. Maintains assigned work area and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe manner; performs housekeeping duties as required and/or instructed. Works in a safe and responsible manner.

  19. Performs all other related duties as instructed by Business Lead.

Qualifications

Required Education and/or Work Experience:


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience supporting large software implementations

Working Conditions/Environment:


  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

  • Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

  • Able to perform all physical duties entailed by the "Working Conditions/Physical Requirements" assessment
