Shift Hours: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM

The Material Handler will ensure that finished product and work in progress is moved in a safe and efficient manner, allowing production and delivery targets to be met consistently.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures the continuous movement of product through hand-stacking, discharging, package and storage of finished parts.


• Safely moves material with the use of a crane/forklift/lift truck/pallet jack from the line to staging area.


• Works in conjunction with Operator and Supervisors and references set-up procedures to ensure that material is safely loaded onto production equipment.


• Uses forklift/lift truck/pallet jack to move scrap to designated dumpster area.


• Prepares packaging in advance of need.


• Conducts set-up duties as instructed by Operator.


• Performs all other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.


• Verify and complies with all federal and state regulations.


• Responsible for overseeing order pulling in the evening.


• Inventory flow control/ Quarantine holds


• Tracking production flow


• Closing task at end of shift


• Reporting or documenting any issues/challenges


• Quality Walk-throughs of the warehouse area


• Proper shut down of the facility on daily evening basis and ensuring all generated power items are powered down (ie. Compressor, fans, generators, light and bay doors)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• HS Diploma or equivalent and 1 year of job-related experience required.


• Crane/lift truck/forklift operator certification required.


• Ability to lift 75lbs (34.02 kg) maximum occasionally with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25lbs (11.3kg).


• Complies with designated ISO/TS16949 responsibilities, environmental management system, health & safety and company rules and regulations.


• Ensures Company safety policies are adhered to, and that all department personnel and visitors utilize safe work habits. Wears personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.


• Maintains a high standard of general housekeeping consistent with 5S standards.
