The Regional Service Technician will coordinate and handle field service issues related to packaging systems in forestry and container systems. This position will cover the East Coast territory and involves extensive travel.
Major responsibility is to provide technical service assistance to the customer.
Attempts repair of customer equipment via field trip or phone consultation.
Coordinates field service calls through Service Department.
This position is responsible for maintenance, preventive maintenance pertaining to regular, emergency and warranty service of packaging systems in forestry, container systems.
Coordinates and performs equipment installations with Service Department and the Customer.
Responsible for customer training at new installations or field training classes coordinated by Service Department.
Responsible for customer sales and inventory of a vehicle stock of Samuel Packaging Systems parts.
Ability to travel approximately 75% of the time.
Strong mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of pneumatic circuitry, industrial electrical circuitry, fundamental knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and a high degree of analytical troubleshooting ability are required.
Good communication and technical skills are essential.
Must have thorough knowledge of equipment and keep current on changes and new additions to equipment.
Must be knowledgeable on safety and safety standards as applied to equipment.
This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma.
