Position Summary: 

Primary purpose of this position is to assist and support the Cost Accounting Manager in day to day, as well as periodic functions, to ensure that expenses are complete and accurate and ensure the accuracy of inventory 

Essential Functions: 

• 
  

  Individual is required to monitor and analyze production variances including scrap activity. 

  
  


• 
  

  Individual is required to support various levels of operations management. 

  
  


• 
  

  Individual is responsible for preparing various inventory account reconciliations. 

  
  


• 
  

  Individual is responsible for the input of costs for all new part numbers as well as processing standard cost changes as required in DataWorks. 

  
  


• 
  

  Individual is responsible for assisting in annual physical inventories by auditing physical counts and reviewing discrepancy reports to ensure accuracy of inventory quantities, and making proper adjustments as required. This will include off site locations as well as headquarters. 

  
  

• 
  

  Individual will assist the Cost Accounting Manager by reviewing and analyzing various responsibility statements and related expense accounts, as directed. 

  
  


• 
  

  Individual will assist the Cost Accounting Manager with internal and external audits.  This may require gathering documentation, explaining control processes, compiling data, etc. 

  
  


• 
  

  Individual will prepare standard monthly journal entries and assist with financial close, as directed. 

  
  


• 
  

  Individual will assist in the annual cost update, by reviewing accuracy of proposed costs. 

  
  


• 
  

  Individual will generate various monthly reports. 

  
  

• 
  

  Performs other duties as assigned by management. 

  
  

Qualifications: 

• 
  

  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.  

  
  


• 
  

  Minimum of three to five years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. 

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to interact with all levels of internal and external personnel 

  
  

• 
  

  Ability to work independently. 

  
  


• 
  

  Accuracy and detail oriented. 

  
  


• 
  

  Willingness to travel as needed 

  
  


• 
  

  Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products to include Advanced Excel, Word, Outlook.
