General Summary:

Are you looking for a role that is fast paced and engages your competitive spirit to problem-solve and create innovative solutions to increase sales and overall market share? This application engineering role is thought provoking and challenging, it will require you to identify and justify product innovation that will further our product lines as the market leader. In addition you will be asked to promote our product through customer interactions, training representatives, design engineers and contractors. You will also provide analysis on the market needs and our product health and work closely with our engineering, controls, and systems teams.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:









































































  • Promote and market dedicated outside air equipment by understanding the customers and cater selling tools and marketing collateral to have the most impact




  • Provide sales, technical and application assistance and support via phone and e-mail




  • Travel to customer sites for training and marketing opportunities as necessary




  • Gather information for market studies and identify opportunities for product applications




  • Identify product, market, and regulation trends/changes and communicate to business unit for appropriate action and resolution in order to improve product offering and customer satisfaction




  • Work with engineering to develop scope and definition for outside air equipment product




  • Coordinate Computer Aided Product Selection (CAPS) planning, testing, and development.




  • Provide general product application support. Understand requirements for challenging applications.




  • Become familiar with the competitor's products and apply this knowledge to the company's advantage.




  • Organize and present training seminars internally and externally.




  • Evaluates components for quality, reliability and performance and advise engineering and purchasing as to those components which might enhance the product.




  • Gather information for market studies.




  • Develop and communicate solutions for unique applications including design and special pricing.




  • Develop and find solutions to field application problems.




  • May negotiate with internal and external customers.




  • Provide technical product application support. Understand requirements for challenging applications.




  • May develop solutions for challenging applications in compliance with industry codes and standards.




  • Assist with product health analysis.






Business Unit Specific Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for developing content for HVAC University's that meet Professional Development Hour (PDH) requirements.

  • Assist with new product costings and pricing.

  • Responsible for representative and region specific presentations that meet ASHRAE presentation requirements.

  • Assist with product discounts.

Job Qualifications:

Work requires a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, which is equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regular four-year college program.

Between 3-5 years of work experience is required.

The ability understand, translate and communicate technical information to different audiences

Business Unit Specific Qualifications:

Familiarity with HVAC equipment, refrigeration systems, and HVAC controls is preferred.
