SUMMARY

The Associate Account Manager will increase new and existing business by adapting ANSYS engineering simulation products and solutions into customers' engineering environmentsand product development processes, ultimately helping customers develop new products and improve existing products and processes. The Associate Account Manager isresponsiblefor all salesactivities, from lead generation through close inan assigned territory or set ofnamedaccounts, and is responsible for maximizing sales profitability, growth, and account penetration.AsuccessfulAssociate Account Manager helps the customer realize the greatest possible ROI from the Ansys portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Performs sales activities, establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current and/orprospective customers tomaintain renewal business andgenerate new business for anassigned geographic area,set ofnamedaccounts or product/service lineto achieve or exceed revenueobjectives.

  • Sells products/services through telephone as well as face-to-face contact.

  • Uncover customer's pain points, negative consequences, and desired positive businessoutcomes to identify the best solution. Clearly present the value of company'sproducts/services through metrics and proof points while tying to the customer's needsand differentiating from competition

  • Remains knowledgeable and keeps abreast of the company's new and existingproducts/services to facilitate sales efforts.

  • Creates and maintains account plans for existing customers highlighting profile, shareand value opportunities.

  • Research sources for developing prospective customersor expanding to new groups inexisting customersand for information to determine their potential.

  • Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospectivecustomers.

  • Coordinatessales effort with marketing,account team, sales management,accounting,legaland technical services groupsglobally.

  • Provides accurate forecasts for new sales and renewal revenues.

  • Participates in trade shows and conventions; schedules training and seminars to enhancenew business opportunities.

  • Alertclient to new or improvedproducts/servicesandrelays client feedback to product development staff.

  • Serve as a resource to Ansyschannel partners within a designated territory by assistingwith the sales process related to new and existing accounts, up to and includingopportunityclose

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor's degree in technical, engineering, business or related field

  • 1+ years of successful technical sales experience

  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering analysis and technology.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Ability to travelup to 50%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Demonstrated leadershipskills.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of company's products/services and pricing practices.

  • 2+ years of successful technical sales experience

  • Knowledge of the specific territory, product line, or customer(s).
