Job Summary

The Sales Operations Specialist & Analyst strengthens all aspects of Sales Operation team.

This position will support sales channels, including our Japanese parent company Murata world-wide by identifying/applying the most effective methodology. The assignments include, but not limited to discussions with customers, PSI maintenance, CRD optimization, documentation maintenance, logistic understanding/creation and/or business process flows. By providing the world-class customer service, this position also support Customer Service team or directly manage customer orders and timely deliveries. There will also be coordination and participation in manager assigned special projects. This position reports directly to the Manager of Sales Operations.

The Sales Operation Specialist must support these responsibilities by following pSemi's documented policies and procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:


  • Sales Operation functions including, but not limited to:


    • Support sales channel processes or procedures requested by Murata

    • Maintain Murata system requirements

    • Maintain Intercompany Transfer Price

    • Proactively communicate with the internal/external customers (may be in Japanese)

    • Identify trends or abnormalities using Microsoft Office-Excel

    • Prepare reports using Microsoft Office-Power Point

    • Analyze Backlog, Inventory, or Shipping reports

    • Support Special Projects - may require Japanese reading/written skills




  • Customer Service functions including, but not limited to


    • Order entry in Oracle Order Management

    • Research and response to order status inquiries, expedite requests, inventory or lead time inquires

    • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve customer service issues and complaints, when needed

    • Work with Sales/Customer on RMA's and coordinate with the Quality team on Failure Analysis

    • Identify delivery delays and errors, and work cross-functionally to ensure timely deliver

    • Maintain customer records in the ERP system

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)


  • 2 years Customer Service/Inside Sales and Administration

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office(intermediate or advance Excel)

  • Experience in Sales Order Management system/ERP software

Preferred Qualifications


  • Proficient in Japanese (Business Writing, Reading, Speaking)

Education Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree preferred
