Co-Op (Computer Science Major - Senior)

About this role:  

The Co-Op will be part of a team that .  They will work on web based enterprise dashboards, Network management tools and an internal application development project. The dashboards will use Power BI from various sources including SQL and Excel to consolidate and visualize data.  The Co-op will gain experience working with network management tools that provide real-time look at network traffic throughout our organization. For the application development project, you will act as a team contributor and help incorporate the data from the dashboards you created.  For this position we are looking for a resource with an understand of networking and databases along with a solid mathematical and analytical background. Programming experience is not required by also welcome.

Must be able to work 15 - 20 hours per week while school is in session.  Potentially work 40 hours per week when school is not in session.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Academic or real-world experience with Power BI, SQL and Microsoft office Suite (including Excel)
• Understanding of networking and databases
• Programming experience is considered a Plus
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn
• Problem solving

Preferred Qualifications:

• The desired Co-Op will be currently enrolled in a degreed college/university program pursuing a degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics or related discipline, or has graduated from a degreed college/university program within the last 24 months with a degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics or related discipline.
• Knowledge of the software development process and experience on a testing team is preferred
