SourceAmerica is looking for a talented Sr. Specialist, Capability Project Management to join its NPA Network Services team. This position could be based at SourceAmerica's National Office in Vienna, VA or from someone's home office anywhere in the United States.

Job Summary


This position is new to the organization. SourceAmerica will build a database that allows our Nonprofit Agencies (NPAs) to provide details of their capabilities, so our internal teams understand various lines of business and capabilities our nonprofit agencies (NPAs). For example, our NPAs have trained employees who work in various lines of business like custodial, grounds keeping, etc. SourceAmerica must be aware of the NPA's capability and capacity to tie their workforce capabilities to federal contracts we procure through our business development team.


This position will continually support the nonprofit agencies to provide and update the capability and capacity information.


Essential Functions



  • Develop a strategy to capture the capabilities and capacities of the entire SourceAmerica nonprofit network.

  • Proactively engage with our network of nonprofit agencies to gather data. As the data is gathered, analyze and evangelize the capability information throughout the SourceAmerica business units for use with business development and marketing activities.

  • Collaborate with IT and other relevant stakeholders, including the Business Development Department (Federal and Commercial) and Products and Services (LOBs) SMEs, to develop requirements for a Capability Database in Microsoft Dynamics 365 that will allow NPAs to provide details of their capability and capacity in a variety of (LOBs).

  • Create a method for NPAs to maintain and update the Capability Database, allowing SourceAmerica staff to add details to validate the information and provide relevant insights.

  • Coordinate with the AbilityOne Programs Department to meet the Cooperative Agreement tracking requirements on capability and capacity.                                            

  • Once funding is established, support a financial assistance program for the Products CAP2 Development Pool.

  • Actively participate in SourceAmerica’s Everyday Performance Management program

  • Cooperate fully with meeting the requirements of the Cooperative Agreement of the AbilityOne Commission

  • Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as assigned

Required Education, Experience, and Skills



  • At least 2 years’ relevant work experience with database creation, database management or similar

  • Associates degree from accredited institution

  • Experience delivering the highest level of customer service, responsiveness to members or customers, and a professional approach to managing customer relationships

  • SourceAmerica recognizes 1½ years’ experience = 1-year college, should a candidate not meet the required education

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills



  • BA/BS degree in nonprofit administration, business management, marketing or similar degree or equivalent 5-year successful work experience

  • Experience with requirement capture, database development, and management

  • Work experience at a national association, statewide membership program/organization, or similar

  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. SourceAmerica uses Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)

  • Experience with membership or nonprofit agencies during your career

  • Also, experience working with federal contractors, federal government or directly with federal contracting

OTHER REQUIREMENTS



  • Provide leadership and direction, strong communication, and resource management skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, maturity, and sound judgment, and capable of communicating with diverse individuals.

  • Ability to work effectively with senior-level NPAs leaders and staff within SourceAmerica.

  • Problem-solver and ultimately responsible for resolution.

  • Ability to multi-task and oversee a small team of individuals either in a department or in a cross-functional team, ensuring work and schedules meet internal and external requirements.

  • Represent the business unit or function as the main point of contact and often works cross-functionally with other members of the organization.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Dynamics.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet tools.
