 If you are a Software Engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Brookfield, CT location, you will be responsible for the design and development of system software for new products in ultrasonic welding and digital transformation! AS SOFTWARE ENGINEER, YOU WILL: 


  • Develop software in C/C++, using industry standard development techniques for control systems, user interfaces, and networking devices.
  • Write code in both Linux and Windows environments that will target both operating systems.
  • Write documentation for tests, specifications, and design implementation.
  • Debug complex hardware and software systems using standard practices.
  • Develop code targeting real time operating systems running on multi-core processors
  • Work closely with a global team
  • Utilize both Agile and Waterfall software development process knowledge

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • Experience working on coding and software/hardware integration for both real time control systems and high level application development.
  • Working knowledge of C, C++, and OOP.

 PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  
  • Knowledge of Qt is a plus
