The Opportunity

Up to 65% of a restaurant's costs are allocated to labor and food, and optimizing these costs is a top priority for managers, owners and c-suites. In partnership with best in class restaurants, and leveraging advanced machine learning models, we have developed a solution by rooting our innovation efforts in our purpose - to help our customers mitigate risk and uncertainty. The product is up and running in multiple pilot locations, enabling continued iteration of the key features and refinement of the predictive model. We are seeking a proven Business Leader to take over the reins and drive continued growth and scale of the product.

The immediate focus of the Internship will be to support the Business Leader in launching a new digital, data driven product into the restaurant market. This role will provide project based support to all aspects of taking new a new product to market such as building the team and executing all go-to-market strategies including pricing, sales, branding, marketing; as well as software and data engineering.

This internship will provide a real-world, hands on view of an early stage growth company and creates opportunity for successful candidates to increase responsibility over time.

The role is virtualand atthe onsetthe internship will be 10 hours per week and quickly grow to 20+ hours.

Hourly Pay: $16-$20/hour

Day to Day:


  • Conducting partner research to set up relationships and accounts with partners and suppliers

  • Coordinate multi-party meetings related to business development and sales

  • Produce first draft of meeting summaries including action points and strategic objectives

  • Coordinate, attend and report on outsourced marketing partner activities

  • Monitor and adjust digital marketing campaigns

  • Analyze and report on sales funnel

  • Research and augment inbound sales leads

  • As the internship develops, responsibilities will include Reviewing and customizing auto-generated sales presentation drafts

Qualifications:


  • Actively enrolled and pursuing higher education in a business discipline at the master's degree level

  • Proven experience as a high performer, while executing with speed and agility and applying creativity to the work

  • High attention to detail and organizational skills with in depth experience with Microsoft Office suite of products

  • Preferred experience working in a technical environment with exposure or familiarity with innovation methodologies and approaches

Preferred Experience:


  • Exposure to and/or experience in the restaurant technology industry with working knowledge of technical solutions used in this market and the customer base

  • Experience with digital marketing and Hubspot platform would be ideal
