Warehouse Distribution Team Lead

Location: Dalton, GA

The Distribution Team Lead reports to the Shipping Manager and has primary responsibility for floor-level leadership in the warehouse facility.

This individual will be involved in a variety of production and leadership responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

Description:

• Will work with warehouse planning to execute shipping schedules


• Direct daily workflow / assign work to employees


• Assist the manager in the coordination of making sure all metrics are met for the facility


• Will regularly act as a backup for the Shipping Manager as needed.


• Monitor the mood of the team and plant and bring issues to the attention of plant management


• Fill in to give other employees their required scheduled breaks and cover PTO
  

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent


• 5+ years in a similar manufacturing environment, and/or post-secondary education, to equal 7+ years


• 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, Material Safety Data Sheets, batch sheets, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals


• 2+ years of experience completing documentation for work processes.


• 3+ years of experience utilizing math by adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Preferred:

• SAP Software experience
