MIT Lincoln Laboratory (LL) is a Department of Defense Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) chartered to develop advanced technology in support of national security. Research and development activities focus on long-term technology development as well as rapid system prototyping and demonstration. The Laboratory works with government and industry to transition new concepts, technology and prototypes into future system development and deployment.
The Manager of Labor and Employee Relations reports to the Deputy Director of Human Resources. The incumbent is responsible for a wide range of employee relations activities and programs. These duties include employee counseling, policy interpretation and guidance, complaint investigation and resolution, advising/coaching, and performance management. Will ensure appropriate record keeping, data collection, and make appropriate recommendations to management. Provide Labor Relations support for the Lab's three Unions including administration and interpretation of Lincoln's Laboratory's collective bargaining agreements. Responsible for communications and developing presentations for employees and managers as needed. Collaborate with HR staff and customers to ensure high level of efficiency and customer service. Collaborate with various stakeholders at the Laboratory and MIT. Seek to identify, initiate, and support diversity, equity and inclusion programs and service delivery opportunities.
