The IC Dispatcher is responsible for the relationship with an assigned group of Independent Contractors to ensure the contractor experience is a positive one. Quality operates on a 24/7 basis. As such, CCSR’s are expected to participate in an on call schedule. This schedule will vary based on location and business needs.


Essential Functions:



  • Plans an assigned group of IC’s on a daily basis from a predetermined list of loads from a particular customer

  • Ensures Dedicated ICs are aware of their loads and all special equipment requirements for these deliveries are in good operational order

  • Tracks each IC in TMW for compliance to meeting QDI’s dedicated customers’ delivery times on all dispatched loads

  • Fields IC settlement questions when requested

  • Ensures IC’s are reaching their financial goals by advising them when they request assistance

  • Ensures all tractors are in a high level of repair and in full compliance to all DOT, federal, state and local regulations as well as all QC compliance standards

  • Reviews OBER data and provides feedback and advice when requested to contractor regarding events recorded and in accordance to the CCSR Safety Policy 

 


Skill/Knowledge Requirements:



  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; 2 year business degree preferred;

  • 4+ years bulk transportation industry experience

  • 2 + years of experience in a process management position

  • Knowledge of DOT requirements

  • Experience with CSA expectation and Safety procedures

  • Solid computer skills must be comfortable using a computer and various software programs

  • Working knowledge of the Google Platform, Word, Excel and TMW
