Position Summary:
This highly visible and influential global technical leadership position will own and drive design, deployment, and maintenance of Camstar MES to support high-volume discrete manufacturing of medical devices globally

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Drive design, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of Camstar MES 8.x to run high-volume discrete manufacturing at multiple sites globally

  • Lead project team to deliver Camstar MES 8.x globally within ISA 95 model connected to Oracle EBS, Ignition SCADA, AB PLCs, OSI PI Data Historians, SAP SF LMS as well as QA and QC systems

  • Partner with colleagues from IT, Operations, Engineering, Automation, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure Camstar MES meets stakeholder and business requirements

  • Deliver high availability MES architecture to sustain 99.99% uptime and robust RPO/RTO

  • Provide expert guidance on recipe management, EBR, interlocks, alarms, and interfaces

  • Build team to support Manufacturing Systems landscape for steady state operations

Required Qualifications:


  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree with 13+ years of industry experience.

  • 5-8 years of previous people management experience.

  • 8+ years, manufacturing systems

  • Proven expertise with Camstar MES (ideally version 7 and above)

  • Experienced in implementing manufacturing systems including MES, SCADA, PLC, Data Historians, EBR

  • Experienced in leading teams and delivering projects

  • Experience with ISA 95 model a plus

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Familiarity with Camstar MES version 8.x a strong plus

  • Experienced with high-volume Discrete Manufacturing

  • Medical device manufacturing experience would be a plus

  • Familiarity with GMP and Validated systems would be a plus

Functional Description: Management

Leads initiatives to analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Plans, manages and controls the activities of a team that provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret and produce recommendations based on company systems needs. Advises business groups by providing technical and strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities. Ensures that policies and procedures align with corporate vision. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel ensuring efficient operation of the function.

  • Enhances understanding and knowledge of how functional objectives support corporate objectives.

  • Possesses in‐depth knowledge of leading best practices in area of expertise.

  • Provides guidance and support to team members / employees.

  • Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.

  • Requires the ability to effectively influence others and manage sensitive situations.

Judgement:


  • Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in‐depth knowledge of organizational objectives.

  • Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results will add to costs and may impact the short‐term goals of the organization.

Management:


  • Manages activities of two or more sections or departments.

  • Directly manages the coordination of the activities within a function/department with responsibility for results.

  • In some instances may be responsible for a functional area or contracted / outsourced employees or matrixed reports and not have any direct reports within the organization.

  • People management responsibilities include hiring / terminations, performance reviews, career development coaching and compensation decisions.
