Basic Function:  Supervision of the Paint Department. This position will be responsible for Safety, Employee Relations, Production, Quality and Scheduling commitments.

Responsibilities:  

• Learn, develop and perform in a safety oriented and team driven environment


• Ensure all employees follow operation standards and working practices developed by management and verify the conformance to specifications


• Manage pretreatment process, electrostatic application, water treatment, and

hazardous waste.     

• Assist management with the compiling, storing, and retrieving of production data and other record keeping duties


• Kronos timekeeping & payroll


• Assist with the company’s safety program to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment in part by participating in the safety and 5-S programs of the department


• Contribute to and support Process Improvement, Quality Assurance and Lean Manufacturing initiatives


• Supervise a diverse work group


• Handle employee relations issues


• Process and cost improvements


• Manage employee performance and evaluations


• Meet production goals for department


• Communicate the goals of the organization to the work force through one on one, crew, toolbox and safety meetings.


• Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Requirements:

• At least 3 Years of Industrial Paint or comparable Finishing experience preferred. 


• Prior management experience a plus.


• Manufacturing experience required.

• Must have developed PC computer skills w/ MS Word, Excel & PPT

• Good communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels. 


• The ability to work in a team environment supportive of employees, the organization as well as safety and production efforts is a must.


• Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of this job
