Incoming Packaging Inspector at Voyant Beauty in Hodgkins, Illinois

Job Description:

Purpose:

To inspect all inbound receipts of incoming packaging components to ensure components used in production meet customer specifications/requirements.  To work as a team with all internal departments to maintain good communication to meet meet all customer product timelines. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Inspect all inbound receipts of packaging component visually against the customer's specifications/approved standards.


• Test all required variables on all components/labels and document data per customer specifications/requirements.


• Notify out of specifications to Supervisor.


• Print, review and apply approval tags for all inbound receipts of components.


• Prepare component samples for the customer/supplier on problematic shipments per request/requirements.


• Monitor/prepare samples to be sent to customer for new/expired signed standards.


• Verify production label orders/UPC stickers for use in production.


• Create component inspection sheets per customer specifications for new components when applicable.


• Observe safety rules.


• Observe cGMP.

•  High school diploma.


• 1-2 years of relevant experience.
