Your day to day

Your day to day

The Night Auditor is responsible for the preparation of all night audit procedures and reports. They will balance the day’s work, identify and correct errors and complete detailed work accurately. A a Night Auditor, this person will greet guests, handle check-ins, checkouts and guest requests on the third shift in a friendly, attentive, courteous and efficient manner. Our Night Auditor must be able to work productively and effectively in a self-managed environment as well as performing other duties as assigned.

Schedule:


  • Part time, 2-3 days a week

  • 11pm-7am

  • Must have flexible availability (including weekends and holidays)

FINANCIAL RETURNS:

• Up-sell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue.

• Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions in accordance with established procedures including but not limited to posting all charges, completing cashier or other reports, preparing deposit, and counting/securing assigned bank.

• Assists in managing hotel revenue generation and maximization through full utilization of company systems, business processes and specifications such as up-selling strategies and techniques.

• Remains current on brand, wellness, nutrition and industry information required to deliver the EVEN Hotels programs and services.

• Remains current on brand, guests stay their way, with a focus on hotel amenities and features required to deliver the Staybridge Suites Hotels programs and services.

• Ensures billing instructions and guest credit for compliance with hotel credit policy and ensure all transactions are handled in a secure manner.

GUEST EXPERIENCE:

• Responds appropriately to guest complaints and implements appropriate service recovery guidelines in order to ensure total guest satisfaction.

• Demonstrates Brand hearted leadership by putting the brand at the center of all business decisions.

• Interacts daily with guests in ways that brings the brand to life.

• Seeks and uses guest feedback to build relationships with guests and drives continuous improvement in guest satisfaction.

• Routinely check in/check-out guests, answer phones, take reservations and assist staff with job functions.

• Promote hotel services, facilities and outlets; provide guests with information such as local attractions and directions to increase guest satisfaction.

• Ensures that special needs and requests of guests, VIPs, and IHG Rewards Club Members are fulfilled.

• Complete opening and closing shift duties and communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management that may require additional monitoring or follow-up.

• Perform other duties as assigned which may include guest room tours, concierge services, special guest requests, etc.)

What we need from you

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent, plus one-year front desk/guest service experience or 2 years face-to-face customer service experience in any service related industry, including retail preferred

• Must speak fluent English

• Flexible work schedule

• Demonstrated recent and regular participation in wellness, nutrition, sports, fitness or similar activities a plus

• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and employees

• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency

• Reading and writing abilities are utilized often

• Basic math skills are used frequently

• Problem solving, reasoning, motivating and training abilities are often used

• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
