Job Description:

ERM is seeking a Staff ESG Advisory Consultant to join our growing team in our Manhattan office. Our Mergers & Acquisitions team is currently going through a period of significant growth in the market whilst also servicing an existing large client base. To support the successful delivery, ERM is seeking junior Consultants to deliver a range of projects, while supporting on further client development to capture the growth in the market. In this role, the successful candidate will focus on project management and delivery of portfolio due diligence and ESG advisory projects for clients in a variety of sectors, including private equity and finance sector.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage medium to large size due diligence and ESG advisory projects from local to global scale for private equity and trade clients

  • Deliver multiple project tasks or components, including completing proposals

  • Analyze information to understand and articulate commercial consequences of environmental, health, and safety as well as social issues

  • Supervise project team(s),coach and mentor junior staff

  • Understand the interrelationships between ERM practices and policies and how these are applied within the business model(s)

  • Collaborate across regions and global practice communities

  • Establish strong working relationships with clients through project delivery

Requirements:


  • BS in environmental science, or related discipline

  • 2+ years of experience; consulting and due diligence experience preferred

  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and ideally have multiple sector experience, including private equity investing, O&G, manufacturing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, infrastructure

  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed

  • Demonstrated experience in both acquisition and vendor due diligence

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail; experience writing comprehensive technical reports and standards.

  • Strong MS Office computer skills
