Plant Engineer

Essity Manufacturing Professional Hygiene North America is currently recruiting for a Plant Engineer (Facilities and Project Manager) for our Central Region which consists of manufacturing plants in Harrodsburg, KY and Middletown, OH. This position will be based in Harrodsburg.

About the Role

The Plant Engineer is responsible for the installation, development and maintenance of the site infrastructure. This position is also responsible to deliver initiatives and large capital expenditure projects. Direct reports include project engineers and site services specialists.

What You Will Do

• Single point accountability for Project & Capex management systems and processes on a regional level;




• Actively manages projects on site level;




• Owns sites project masterplan;




• Owns site Infrastructure maintenance masterplan & budget for both sites;




• Ensures quality of toll gate process project information;




• Acts as coach for sites project people (technicians, engineers, managers);




• Responsible for project management capability development and project KPI reporting;




• Identifies, coaches/develops PM talent;




• Is a role model for safety;




• Manages to the agreed budgets;.




• Ensures that buildings are complying with the necessary requirements (legal, production, safety);




• Ensures that the utilities (gas, electricity, air, water etc.) are complying with the necessary requirements;




• Manages department in line with Essity processes and tools;




• Coaches and develops capabilities in the department;




• Maintains inspection records in accordance with standards and regulatory requirements;




• Accountable for performance management process and responsible for consequence management within his/her department.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred;




• 10+ years engineering related experience in a manufacturing environment;




• Project Management experience (PMP preferred);




• Paper making and/or paper converting experience preferred.
