Our Newcastle refinery's strategic location provides access to crude and refined products markets and is the heart of logistics operations that include 140 miles of crude gathering systems and 40 miles of refined product pipelines.
This position is responsible for coordinating the requirements of process safety management (PSM) programs assigned to them by the refinery PSM Manager to ensure compliance with OSHA PSM regulations and existing refinery PSM programs and policies. This position drives continuous improvement in the refinery's PSM program through routine field audits and active participation in the implementation of PSM elements within the refinery operating units. This position tracks and assures completion of tasks generated from refinery's PSM program including Management of Change (MOC), Incident Investigations, and Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) programs.
The Requirements
To qualify for this role, you will have a minimum of 3 years of PSM work-related experience in the refinery and/or petrochemical industry, 5+ years preferred. Also preferred, but not required, a bachelor's degree with major in Engineering, Science, or Process Safety related curriculum.
