Kleinfelder is seeking an Project Ecologist to join our Tampa, Florida office.

We are excited to present a challenging career opportunity for an energetic natural resource professional to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with field data collection and reporting to support natural resource projects. Candidates must have the ability to apply the principles of ecology, botany and wildlife biology to assess ecological conditions. Primary tasks will include protected/listed species surveys, monitoring land restoration areas and support with other ecological assessments.

The chosen candidate should also possess strong time management, problem solving, communication, organizational skills, and have relevant computer/software experience including Microsoft Office products. This position requires solid technical writing and verbal communication skills, including coordination with team members and project managers, as well as clients and regulatory agency staff.

The ideal candidate should have aBachelor's degree in natural resources (ie. biology, zoology, botany, ecology, or environmental science), however a Master's degree in similar area is preferred. A Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Authorized Gopher Tortoise Agent permit.

This position is a great opportunity for qualified professionals who are self-starters, leaders, energetic and enthusiastic and who like diversified project types. The ability to travel and a clear driving record are also required.

This position requires a minimum 6 years of relevant experience working in the State of Florida.
